Here is some of what Liz, Wendy and I discussed at the last teacher's meeting. We looked at a document titled "This Season at a Glance" which outlines the focus of the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum for Advent and Christmas. The only remaining lesson we have yet to teach is for December 20th.
WE WILL NOT HAVE SUNDAY SCHOOL ON DECEMBER 27TH NOR JANUARY 3RD.
The focus for December 20th is "Moving with Mary's Song". The emphasis will be on drawing close to the One who changes everything, and being inspired to act with justice and compassion.
Take a moment this week and read the lectionary passages which correspond with your lesson plan. They are:
Micah 5:2-5a
Luke 1:47-55 or Psalm 80:1-7
Hebrew 10:5-10
Luke 1:39-45, (46-55)
